About Doctor Cindy Krane Veterinarian

Doctor Cindy Krane is a compassionate vet with a wealth of experience in small animal medicine. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts degree before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Purdue University. During her studies, she did sheer externships at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland & the National Zoological Park in Washington DC.

After practicing for several years in the Virginia and Maryland areas she & her family moved to South Florida where she soon ensconced herself as a dedicated & devoted member of the Calusa family. During the ensuing years, she has developed a loyal & loving clientele, who depend upon her knowledge & compassion. After 17 years with Calusa, she has recently become a partner in the practice & continues to provide exceptional care to her patients. Dr. Krane’s dedication to her craft, her commitment to her patients & her unwavering compassion for animals make her a valued member of the Calusa team.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Krane has spent the last decade as an active & valued volunteer at the South Florida Wildlife Center (SFWC). During that time she has rehabilitated & released hundreds of orphaned squirrels & opossums, several of whom have continued to live on her property & return regularly to visit & receive nourishment & treats.

Doctor Krane is a certified Fear-Free practitioner & a proud member of the (AAFP). Her serves as an advocate for cat-friendly practices. A resident of Boca Raton, Doctor Krane & her husband enjoy their daughter who is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate in psychology & their son who is working on his master’s degree in real estate. They are pet parents to 2 dogs (a Chihuahua and a Greyhound) & five cats, 3 of which are hairless.
